Author's Description:

Botanical Collection No. 2 started as a project to document some of the damaged seashells I had collected during the thirteen years I had lived in Tampa, Florida. After shooting the entire collection, my excitement was washed away when I realized that I had forgotten to change my camera settings from shooting the night before and had to reshoot the whole thing again. As it turned out, I didn’t get the images the second time around, or even the third. Botanical Collection No. 2 became the collection that never was. I composited several images into one and released what I had. All that work for nothing, though, seemed appropriate to me on this one.

Hey, did I mention how huge these are? I created each composite using my individual photographs, making each finished piece around 60-70 inches long.
